Terms of Use

CareDoor is a product of Aevum Home Care, LLC.
1. What this service is
CareDoor (“we,” “us”) helps families arrange non-medical home care in Illinois: one intake, a match with an affiliated partner agency, a booked assessment, and a private tracking link. The service is a concierge pilot — a navigator reviews every request by hand.
2. What this service is not
We are not a care provider and we do not employ caregivers. We do not provide medical advice, clinical advice, or emergency services. We do not decide benefit eligibility or coverage, and we do not guarantee that an agency will accept a referral, that care will start by a particular date, or that any agency meets your needs. For a medical emergency, call 911. The Learning Center is educational only.
3. Using the service
Families use the service without an account: you submit an intake and follow your case with a private tracking link. Keep that link private — anyone with it can view your case status. Operators, navigators, agency users, and partners sign in with a magic link sent to their email. There are no passwords. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure and for signing out on shared devices.
4. Your information
You agree to provide accurate information in the intake and to use the service only to arrange care. Agencies and partners agree to keep their profiles, capacity, and referral responses accurate, and to use referral information only to respond to the referral. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.
5. Referrals and consent
Before an agency receives your contact details, you are asked for consent. Until then, agencies see only de-identified information (what help is needed, ZIP, urgency, payment path). Consent is recorded in an append-only ledger. Withdrawing or declining consent stops sharing; it does not undo sharing that already happened.
6. Fees
We do not charge families for using CareDoor. Partner agencies pay a subscription, and — for private-pay cases only — a fee when they accept a referral and a fee when a case starts care. We do not take per-referral or per-start fees on Medicare/Medicaid-linked cases, and placement is never paid. Agencies and families arrange payment for care directly with each other.
7. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service: do not submit false information, do not attempt to access cases or accounts that are not yours, do not scrape or copy the agency directory in bulk, do not harass agencies or families, and do not use the service for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate access for misuse.
8. Learning Center
Learning Center articles and tools are educational only. They do not determine or promise eligibility, coverage, or benefits, and they are not medical, legal, or financial advice.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, or for the acts or omissions of any agency, caregiver, or partner. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. We will post the updated version on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Questions about these terms: contact us at hello@caredoor.net.
